Admission Policy
St. Joseph Catholic School's Extended Care Program is open to children currently enrolled in St. Joseph Catholic School, grades Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. Extended Care is held in the Parish Center. Students will be encouraged to complete their homework first and then play. A light snack is provided.
A child must be registered in the program with all necessary forms (program Registration Form and Registration Agreement Form) completed and on file in the school office prior to the first day of attendance in the program.
The registration fee is $15 for the first child and $5 for each additional child in the family. Please note that the registration fee will not be charged until the first visit.
Days/Hours of Operation
The Extended Care Program is open on regular full day school days from 3:15 pm - 5:30 p.m. The Extended Care Program is not open on early dismissal days. Early dismissal days are scheduled in advance and available on the school calendar. Parents may also receive an email reminder on days in which Extended Care is not available. Extended Care is not available on any day St. Joseph Catholic School is not in session.
Closing time is 5:30 p.m. Failure to pickup children by this time may result in additional fees, as outlined below. Please call the Youth Room at 618-539-3930, Extension 204 if it is known that a child will not be picked up at closing time. If you are consistently late picking up your child, the principal has the right to refuse service.
Pickup Procedure
All children must be signed out by a parent of person authorized by the parent. Sign out takes place in the Youth Room of the Parish Center
Payment/Fees
The daily rate for pickup prior by 4:30 p.m. is $10 for the first child, plus $5 for each additional child. The daily rate for pickup after 4:30 p.m. but no later than 5:30 p.m. is $15 for the first child, plus $5 for each additional child. Failure to pick up children by 5:30 p.m. may result in a $1.00 per minute fee, which is due at the time of pickup. Payments that are not made upon arrival may result in the removal of a child (children) from the program.
Daily Drop-In Policy
The child (children) must be registered in the program with all necessary forms completed and on file with the Extended Care Coordinator. Please call the school office before 11:15 a.m. so that we may enter your child's name on the daily roster. Daily fees apply and payment is due on the same day or week of service.
